The Brothers Karamazov & Islamic Spritualism

The Brothers Karamazov is the last novel penned by Fyodor Dostoevsky. Earlier I was sceptical about reading it as I was under the false impression that it would be a dull and boring novel but once I started, I found it to be very interesting and in line with the islamic teachings.

This book coherently uncovers the charade of liberals and free thinkers. The one who think he is free from the dogmas of religion is actually the slave of his desires. One may argue, what's bad in it to follow one's desire? At least he is following his own desires, not anyone else. This argument appears to be cogent and makes sense to many but if you go a little deep you will find, the desire that you have fed has grown wild over the time and it is not in your control but it has enslaved you instead. The habits that are harming you and your family and you want to shed them but instead of all your efforts you are not able to shun them, Do you know why? The answer is simple the slave has taken the control of King!

In human beings it is the tendency that they are bound to worship. You cannot deny this either you would worship God or else your desire. The one who worship God are the master of their desires and the one who worship desire they are the slave of it. Therefore you have to decide that whether you want to be the slave or master of your desire?
